A Picture’s Worth is a training and service-providing nonprofit that both champions and helps spark narrative change. We work with community partners, nonprofits, educators and businesses to bridge divides created and sustained by traditional media models and deficit-framed narratives.

A Picture’s Worth of Light
This collaborative, community-led story collection and BLINK CINCINNATI installation bridges communities, organizations and creatives as it shares bright stories of hope and inspiration in Cincinnati and the surrounding region, where residents find light in unexpected places.
Strong Women
An innovative collaboration between two Cincinnati nonprofits led to a six-episode podcast series and a public exhibition that transformed a storefront along McMillan Street in Walnut Hills into a celebration of “Strong Women” beginning on International Women’s Day 2021.
Our Stories, Our World
This collaboration connects Chicago’s own Public Narrative, a longtime advocate for broader, more accurate and more authentic community representation in media, and A Picture’s Worth, a nonprofit focused on strengths-based storytelling for community transformation. To be released in fall 2021, the complementary nonprofits’ first project will combine audio stories and photography to create a series of citizen-centered podcasts that add depth and context to stories about Public Narrative’s three thematic pillars: public safety, public health and public education.
