Alexis Gaines

My name is Alexis Gaines and I am 36 years old and I am from the community of North Avondale. I'm choosing my story to share with the community and others to inspire the youth in the next generation.

This photo was taken back in 2016, so it’s showing growth within my daughter, because now she's 18. She just graduated this year from Hughes STEM High School with a scholarship. We have my son, who goes to North Avondale Montessori, which represents so much to me and my family because a lot of my cousins and my mother went to that school when she was little, and she's now 60, 50 something years of age.
