A Picture’s Worth: Creative Operations Manager

This position works in the office M-F. A Picture’s Worth is committed to taking care of employees so not all time will be spent in the office. 

This position demands a person committed to paying attention to fine detail. A person who has the superpowers of creativity and problem solving. A decent understanding of grammar/ editing textual documents. Able to use Canva or bring their own creative spice to major outputs (art and design projects of varying size). This person believes cultivating a sense of community and belonging is necessary and understands that narrative is the basis of everything. This person works diligently not only in the office but on themselves outside of the office. This person is incredibly supportive of the ED/CD as a coworker and as a human being and as a partner in office/organizational culture. This person supports fulfilling duties of community care and additional operational background work alongside creative projects. You will be heavily involved in all aspects of the process of the work. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation / deinstallation of public story projects

  • Planning, supporting and design of public story projects

  • Organizing story files in google drive

  • Making sure all folders in google drive have photo, audio file, and transcription of interviews

  • Making sure all completed APW story files are sent to the library for archiving

  • Adding innovative ideas to get people involved

  • Participating in meetings as representative of APW

  • Serving as APW spokesperson when needed.

  • Working to develop and execute operational developments and improvements. (suggestions on processes to maximize community impact)

  • Keeping detailed records of work and expenses.

  • Developing proposals for funding and project development work. 

  • Collaborating. Always back seat to community.

  • Oversight of documentation

  • Developing toolkit/ process to standardize process as much as possible. 

  • Actively learning/ researching

  • Growth mindset

  • Conducting and supporting APW trainings and events.

  • Supporting measurement learning and evaluation work. (post surveys, etc.)

  • Organizing and supporting story gatherers 

Flexibility of time. Evening and afternoon hours to be offset by time off during the week. 

Benefits include a wellness fund to be used how the employee sees fit. 

Salary: $50K plus $250/month tax-free health care stipend (receipts required)
