“This picture means a lot to me because this is when I was going through a dark place. I was shy, I was emotional, depressed. I wasn't into taking pictures. I didn't feel pretty, so I got my hair done, I got my nose pierced to get out of depression mode. I felt pretty at the time to take a picture.”
