“In this picture, I had just gotten out of COVID, out of the hospital. I hadn't even fully recovered yet, but I was still smiling through the trials and losses. This picture represents strength, resilient recovery—from not only illness, but also my drug addiction. I'm a mother, a sister, a friend that has seen my share of struggles. I am not just a survivor, but I'm an overcomer.”
