A Picture’s Worth of Light

Our Cincinnati neighbors share the lights in their lives.

Anna Louise Inn · Light Is in Strength

Robin Johnson

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPH:

“This picture is the first day that I got out of jail. So it's my first day of freedom and sobriety. I've been in active addiction for six years, and lost everything, so this is the start of my new adventure, like my life journey being sober. And it's just very inspiring to me, because I never thought that I could get where I am. I just don't ever want to look back to the struggles that I had, but if I didn't ever struggle through that, I wouldn't see how strong I am. What I want to do is share my story to help the next person. I feel like if I could change one person, then I feel like I've done something, because that's what somebody did for me.”
