ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPH:

“This photo is kind of what brought me to the area. I’m a resident of Westwood, and I just bought a house a few years ago. We’re about ten minutes away from Mount Airy, and we started—I'm the vice president of Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance, and we maintain 115 miles of multi-use trails in the Greater Cincinnati area. So to be able to have trails so close to home, just seven minutes away from this particular trail system that Kyle and Hillside Trust are developing, it’s really amazing.

Usually, for an urban environment like this, you have to get in your car and drive 30 minutes to an hour away to enjoy nature and go for a hike. But now, I’m very supportive of this initiative to give everyone access to the urban wilderness you have here. This photo was taken a while ago when we were building the trail, so it makes me feel nostalgic and empowered to really change my community and change the face of what people think about when they think of my community. It’s a great example of the way people can come up with an idea and really bring it to reality.”
