Our family had a special occasion, birthday or something, we would usually end up going to a restaurant called Schueler's 7 Kitchens, and it was in a building across from Seton [High School] and Elder [High School] on Glenway [Avenue], and they had seven different styles of cuisine. There was American, Italian, German, I think, to a seafood and Mexican food. And it was a special occasion type of place, but it was a really fun place to go to. The food was pretty good and I'm sure the prices were very reasonable back then if you would look back on them.

We moved to Price Hill when I was about eight, and we probably went there until I was about sixteen or so. I think it closed about the time I turned 16 or 17, and there was actually a bowling alley in that same building. I think the Hoinke family had a bowling alley in that building on the second floor. And I remember bowling there. I was always a terrible bowler, but, it was a fun place to go.
