“I am a Youth Librarian at the Price Hill Branch Library. I was reading to the children at the rec center next door. They had me coming once a week to read to them, and a newspaper reporter, for whatever reason, decided to come that day and took my picture and stayed to listen to the stories.

It was great. It got to show them that kids are interested in being read to, and it’s nice that they got to highlight the rec center, I’m interested in the children and that I like being with them, and that I try to find that they’ll like and they’ll appreciate and I try, if I can, to find books that they see themselves in, which isn’t always possible, but there’s more and more books that are coming out that reflect the population better.”
