“My name is Timothy Johnson. I'm 16 years old and I live in Avondale. I'm choosing to tell my story today so I could feel like I'm doing something for the youth.

They was they was doing like an old school thing at The Banks and stuff. It was my mama and my cousin, and me. e be having fun and we like, we like hanging with each other and all that stuff.

Transformation, like I don't know how to explain it. Because, like, a lot of stuff was happening. Like my cousin had died and all that stuff. He was murdered.

All that stuff we was going through. And, like, that was the positive moment. Like, the positive for me. My emotions when I look at this photo is like it's happy and loving emotions.”
