APW Names Mildred C. Fallen as Creative Operations Manager
[CINCINNATI, February 3, 2026] — A Picture’s Worth (APW), a Cincinnati‑based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities through responsible, asset‑based storytelling, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mildred C. Fallen as its new Creative Operations Manager.
A seasoned Cincinnati journalist with over two decades of experience, Mildred brings a profound understanding of local narratives, arts, and culture to her role. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Cincinnati and completed IT Support training at Per Scholas in 2025, blending creative vision with technical operational skills. Her reporting on the local music scene has been recognized with a Society of Professional Journalists Award for Arts Reporting.
Prior to joining APW, Mildred served as a Digital Content Producer at WXIX–FOX 19, where she managed breaking news and high‑volume daily content. Her work has consistently highlighted the people and creative forces shaping Cincinnati’s identity, with bylines in Cincinnati Magazine, CSO Fanfare Magazine, CityBeat, and Visit Cincy.
Mildred is already deeply familiar with APW’s mission, having previously contributed as an APW Story Gatherer. In that capacity, she conducted sensitive audio interviews with West End and Price Hill residents to help preserve community histories. Her commitment to service extends through work with AmeriCorps, the Music Resource Center, and as a creative writing judge for the Cincinnati Arts Association’s Overture Awards.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Mildred to our team,” said Elissa Yancey, Executive & Creative Director of A Picture’s Worth. “Her exceptional journalistic integrity, deep roots in our city’s cultural landscape, and firsthand experience gathering community stories make her the perfect person to streamline our creative operations and help us elevate even more authentic local voices.”
In her new position, Mildred will oversee the systems and processes that power APW’s storytelling projects, ensuring that the organization’s work is both impactful and sustainable. Her strategic approach and operational expertise will be instrumental in advancing APW’s mission to build connections, foster understanding, and drive positive narrative change within communities.
