A Picture’s Worth of Light

Our Cincinnati neighbors share the lights in their lives.

Lower Price Hill · Light Is in Mothers

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPH:

“When I look at a picture of my kids, I see greatness. I see pride. I see joy. It brings me light, it brings me laughter. I came over a whole lot of obstacles. I lost a lot of people growing up—a lot. Two of my kids’ fathers. So it was a struggle for about 10, 12 years. I found my faith again through my kids. They made me who I am today. I'm a strong, independent mother. I work hard for my kids. I choose life. I choose happiness. And I'm blessed to be a mother. And my kids are very intelligent, very smart, very loving, very caring. So I'm so proud of my kids and so proud of how far we came.”
