“This is a picture of September 2021, which was the first time I went back to see my mom in India after COVID. She had gone through grief and isolation and we had survived it. So this is really a picture of survival. And hope. We've always been a very close knit family. So she needed to stay alive and well for me, and I needed to stay alive and well for her.”
