It’s been a good neighborhood, as far as things, you know, [we had] a blessing of churches, and that we had churches, good Churches of God, [where we’d] go there to keep the, you know, stop the violence, and keeping things good with God. And just working establishments, and just living, keeping it peaceful.

Pictured: Revelation Baptist Church, located at 1556 John St., before it was razed in May 2020. According to Cincinnati Preservation.org, community leaders wanted to designate the site as a historical landmark, as it was originally built in 1865 as a Synagogue. Instead, the building was sold to FC Cincinnati in 2019.
