Bobby Rogers

My name is Bobby Rogers. I worked down here and I lived down here majority of my life. I work in the Neighborhood House. I'm like a custodian, help clean, you know, watch the front for the dance group and for basketball, boxing.

We used to play baseball, go swimming, go to dances, you know, just enjoy ourself in our neighborhood. Basically, just take life as it is. Well, this is where I used to live at. It was like a first high-rise building I ever seen downtown.

I just thought it was great to have a high-rise down here. Just seeing the building and thought how cool it was. It was just a different place to live 'cause I ain't never seen a high-rise before….by it being 13 floors, I never seen the way the lights blended in to the neighborhood. It was cool to look at all them bright lights.
