The West End

Ellen Clark

Where I’m at now, I’m living at City West [senior building], because they take us to Krogers….and they play cards. We play cards, bingo, they have a little talent show and we look out for each other. So I feel it’s safe down here because we all look out—we stick together, we work together. I wish they knew how safe it is down here.

They got a lot of activities going for the kids so don’t they get in no trouble, so it’s nice for them to have little activities, like they play basketball or soccer ball. I mean, they take kids on trips.

It was fun back then, we used to have the library, still got one, then Walgreens. And we used to play around here, in the park.
