ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPH:

“My connection is to my church on the east side of Cincinnati—Knox Church. And this is the Third Church, and Knox Church and Third Church are partner churches. I was initially asked to volunteer here by Israel Bunnell at Knox Church to work with Reggie Roberts on the financial reporting of the church. I'm an accountant.

I want to use the word ‘revitalization’ for the neighborhood. I think the energy of this church, the hub of this—with people like Rodney Christian and Reggie Roberts, their leadership—is working to revitalize this neighborhood. They want to bring it back to what it was, or maybe have it become what it was always intended to be: a place where people can thrive.”
